Pirate's Wharf Park

Prescribed Burn (Updated 3/10/25): A prescribed burn will take place at Pirate's Wharf Park on Tuesday, March 11. It is estimated to begin around 10 a.m. The burn will be performed by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Forest Services. Visitors are advised to avoid the park.
A prescribed burn is a controlled application of fire to land by trained professionals used to manage vegetation, reduce wildfire risk and restore healthy ecosystems.

Pirate's Wharf Park opened to the public in fall 2023. Visitors are invited to explore the playground and the trails.

The grayed out areas on the map are closed to the public at this time. We're working to open the remainder of the park. Our goal is to have the boat ramp, soft launch, fishing pier and viewing areas open by the end of 2025.
